Throughout the last few decades six musicians from various parts of the United States converged onto Manitou Springs, Colorado. They all had a simple dream of creating a new sense of music that will make you move with good time grooves. So the states of Florida, Mississippi, Missouri, Illinois, California and Texas bid goodbye to their sons, who were destined to form the musical whirlpool that is known as "Creating A Newsense." There are many diverse influences that have helped the band brew a soulful stew of tight, solid, and original songwriting that prolong moments of kind sticky improvisations.
The members of "Creating A Newsense" have been entertaining fun loving people of Colorado's Front Range for years in other musical projects like, "The Old Dog Band", "40% Eric", "Southern Discomfort", "Irrational Exuberance", and "Red Mountain Reggae Joint." The have traded songs and inspirations in such venues as the "Ancient Mariner", "Cedars Jazz Club", "Jack Quinn's", and "The Black Sheep" in the Colorado Springs area. The mile high city of Denver, Colorado is vastly becoming a habitual stomping ground for the band, with shows in such places as "Quixotes", "Herman's Hideaway", "Cricket On The Hill", and "Lodo's Bar and Grill." The band has also dazzled people at such festivals as "The Winter Park Music Festival", "The Jerry Bash", "Earthdance", and "The Victor Mountain Music Festival."
"Creating A Newsense" fuses blues, funk, bluegrass, folk, jazz, soul, rock-n-roll, reggae and many other musical genres that transcend every generation. The draw from each others eclectic musical dialects, which produeces revolutionary music and mesmerizing sound. The band uses a wide variety of musical instruments to lay the foundation for vocal harmonies that flow vibrantly into the audience. Leaving them wanting more at every show.
